Comfortable. Minimal. Transitional.

These past few months, it’s felt as there just aren’t enough hours in a day. Between work, school, the gym, meal prep & trying to keep up with a social life, I need pieces that carry me through every occasion. The last thing on my mind? Chasing the latest trends.
Here are the Top A/W Staples currently in rotation for the season ahead:
Sambas

Yes, I’ve joined the club! After a major closet clean out & I’ve been living off a minimal wardrobe – and sambas have quickly become my go-to. As we move past the chunky sneaker era, although I still use them for the gym, these flats are the perfect shift. Plus, they’re unisex, which makes it easy to coordinate with a partner or friend.
The Everyday Bag

If there’s one definition of transitional, it’s this. From carrying all the necessary tech gadgets to sneaking food into the theater to fitting all the essentials for a quick beach day, a bigger bag does it all. These days, I feel like I carry my entire life with me – and my everyday bag reflects that. My current favorite is the True Religion Horseshoe Stitch Satchel Bag shown above.
Primark Tank Tops

No one hates a bra more than me. But of course, going without one isn’t always practical. Enter: The Primark tanks with a built-in bra. Life changing. I reach for them the second they are out of the wash. They aren’t quite cropped but not full-length either, which pairs nicely with most jeans or a casual skirt. They also shape the chest beautifully – highly recommend.
Athleisure Pants

The most comfortable pair of pants I’ve worn – and short girl approved. The pockets are roomy without sagging, the fabric is stretchy and breathable, and the fit hugs in all the right places. They’re versatile enough for errands, workouts, and lounging. Best of all? No tight waistband that digs into your torso. These truly fit perfectly. Available at Costco.
Minimal Makeup

Ofcourse, Moisturizer and SPF still included in this routine, but lately I haven’t even thought of grabbing my concealer – even to go to work. I’m letting my skin breath this season. Everyday I start with eyebrows & mascara (both drugstore finds). I only use the highlighter from the Beauty Blender Bronzer & Highlight duo on the high points of my face, then finish with Makeup Forever’s Wherever Walnut liner (a near perfect match for the effect of fuller lips) topped of with any lip oil I can find. Simple and fresh.
This season is about reseting and regrounding – grinding as I move into the next phase of my life. My wardrobe reflects that girl-on-the-go attitude: comfortable, minimal, transitional.
